Earth Day on a Small Scale

Time spent in nature is never wasted—even in small doses. While it’s not always possible to dedicate an entire day to celebrate Earth Day, meaningful moments can still be created in the spaces we use every day. This year, we turned our attention to something close to home: our office environment.

During our lunch break on Earth Day, members of BCGL gathered for a simple but refreshing activity—caring for our indoor plants. A repotting session gave our greenery the attention it needed to thrive, while giving us a chance to step away from our desks. Surrounded by sunlight and fresh soil, we took a moment to slow down and reconnect.

In a profession often defined by long hours and demanding workloads, law firms can easily fall into a “workaholic culture.” Taking intentional pauses like this helps counterbalance that pace. Our outdoor plant care session offered a chance to reset, recharge, and return to work feeling more grounded.

Sometimes, it’s the smallest acts that make the biggest difference. Happy Earth Day! 🌱
