Brubaker Connaughton Goss & Lucarelli LLC – Welcomes Our New Team Members

BCGL is pleased to welcome 2 new attorneys to the firm.

 

RYAN C. GIVENS Business Services Practice Group A Lancaster Catholic graduate, Mr. Givens returns to Lancaster as an associate in the firm’s Business Services Practice Group. He comes to BCGL with experience in transactional law. Mr. Givens works closely with business owners in all industries, assisting them with entity formation and governance matters, contracts, and acquisitions. He enjoys helping his clients navigate complex issues to achieve their goals. Mr. Givens earned his J.D. at The Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University and his bachelor’s degree from Ursinus College. During law school, he was an intern for the Honorable Jeffrey J. Reich of the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas and judicial extern for the Honorable Albert H. Masland of the Cumberland County Orphans’ Court.

 

MELISSA A. ZILLHARDT Estates, Trusts and Elder Law Practice Group As an associate in the Estates, Trusts and Elder Law Practice Group, Ms. Zillhardt works with individuals and families to understand their financial, charitable, and inter-generational goals as it applies to planning for long-term care, retirement, and testamentary giving. She enjoys working with clients to ensure future peace of mind. A Lebanon native, Ms. Zillhardt recently graduated from Villanova Law School and received her B.A. from Albright College. During law school, she interned for Philadelphia Legal Assistance and the Villanova Health Law Clinic assisting low-income clients in disability, medical assistance, power of attorney and guardianship matters.

BCGL partners Rory Connaughton, Litigation and Employment Law attorney, and Mark Lovett, Litigation attorney, will be joined by special guest Natonia Samchuck, public relations director from GRIT Marketing Group, to discuss effective crisis preparation and management, and will answer questions including:

BCGL Announces Search for CEO

Brubaker Connaughton Goss & Lucarelli LLC (BCGL) a large, progressive, leading law firm in Lancaster, PA, seeks a CEO to lead their organization. This new and innovative position will be an integral part of BCGL’s growth and success. Serving as the guardian of the firm’s culture, the President & CEO will lead the development of the Strategic Plan and be responsible for its successful execution. While overseeing the day-to-day activities of the firm, the CEO will be responsible for the following:
  • Lead process for the identification and acquisition of new physical headquarters.
  • Oversee and implement capital improvements as directed by Equity Partners.
  • Develop and maintain a keen awareness of the legal industry and market and be in touch with core business functions to ensure focus on key projects and priorities.
  • Develop and manage marketing initiatives.
  • Become immersed in and develop a strong connection to BCGL’s geographic market of Lancaster and adjacent counties.
  • Attend key community functions and industry events.
  • Take an active role in driving BCGL’s performance.
  • Develop and implement operational policies.
  • Select, manage, and develop BCGL’s exemplary team.
  • Provide financial management oversight, including working with Equity Partners to develop an annual budget, three-year forecast, and capital plan.
