BCGL is proud to announce the hiring of Ryan MacDonald, of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, as an associate attorney in the firm’s litigation and employment law groups.
MacDonald began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Aida Waserstein of the State of Delaware Family Court. Prior to joining the BCGL team, he served as a litigation associate attorney in healthcare law, insurance law and commercial litigation groups at Saxton & Stump in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In this previous position, he assisted with medical malpractice defense litigation, insurance coverage questions and disputes, and construction litigation.
“Ryan is a strong communicator who is committed to our clients and providing them the excellent service they deserve,” said Mark Lovett, chairman of BCGL’s Litigation Practice Group. “We look forward to welcoming him to our growing team.”
MacDonald is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. He earned his J.D. at Rutgers Law School and his bachelor’s degree from Temple University where he graduated summa cum laude. As a student, he participated in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition and The Honorable James Hunter III Moot Court Competition. MacDonald also served as a teaching assistant and contributed to the Pro Bono Research Project, which offers free legal research services to public interest law practitioners, government agency attorneys and private attorneys for their pro bono cases.
MacDonald is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Lancaster Bar Association and the Dauphin County Bar Association. He also serves as the case report editor for Civil Litigation Update, the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s civil litigation section newsletter.
