BCGL is proud to announce the promotion of Dana Panagopoulos of Lititz, Pennsylvania to partner. Panagopoulos is a life-long resident of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania and has served as an attorney with the firm’s Trust, Estate and Elder law group since its founding in July 2012. As partner, she will be actively involved in guiding the future growth and direction of the firm.

“Dana’s expertise, insights and strong commitment to her clients has helped BCGL grow into the reputable and trusted firm that we are today,” said Stacey Brubaker, managing partner. “We are extremely excited to announce Dana as a partner and we’re looking forward to her increased engagement in guiding this firm to achieve even greater success in the future.”

In addition to serving as partner, Panagopoulos will also continue to serve clients as an attorney in the firm’s Trust, Estate and Elder law group where she focuses on serving as a counselor and litigator for a number of clients, including estate administrators, trustees, financial institutions, non-profit organizations, charities, and guardians to assist them in matters related to their role as a fiduciary or beneficiary. She also regularly assists clients with the development, implementation and administration of estates and estate plans and medical assistance planning.

“I’ve been inspired by the great vision of our founding partners since our first day in business, and I’m proud to say that what BCGL has accomplished in its first five years has well exceeded all expectations,” said Panagopoulos. “BCGL is a firm that is deeply committed to its clients, team and community, and I’m honored to be a part of it.”

Panagopoulos is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She earned her doctorate in law from Villanova University and her bachelor’s degree from Franklin & Marshall. She is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Lancaster County Estate Planning Council, American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Lancaster Bar Association, and serves as editor of the Lancaster Law Review. She also volunteers her time as a board member of the Manheim Township Educational Foundation, and as a member of the Stewardship Committee for the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

On April 22, 2017, BCGL’s Theresa Mongiovi, Chair of the Employment and Labor Law practice group, co-presented with J. Richard Thomas, former superintendent of Lancaster Mennonite School, at the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of Mennonite Church USA (MCUSA) in Gettysburg, PA. The ACC MCUSA 2017 Spring Assembly Celebration was themed “Communities of Grace, Joy and Peace” and included a panel discussion on preventing and addressing abuse in the church community. Mongiovi and Thomas shared with the Delegates at the conference about child abuse allegations, proactive safety steps, and investigations in religious institutions. Brubaker Connaughton Goss & Lucarelli LLC jumped on board to help the United Way’s Read Across America initiative, in which Theresa Mongiovi, United Way Board Member and Chair of the Employment and Labor Law at BCGL, participated as a volunteer reader. In anticipation of Theresa’s visit to the Lancaster Early Education Center (LEEC) preschool class, she and Emily Forrey, BCGL Office Administrator, organized an office book drive for the children.

After a few weeks of collecting everyone’s favorite childhood stories, Theresa and Emily presented over one hundred donated books to LEEC on March 2, 2017. The BGGL book donation marks the first contribution to their new mobile library. The Read Across America event culminated with Theresa’s first official public reading debut of Dr. Seuss’s ABC, on the birthday of the beloved children’s author.

Their visit was "well-received with many thanks given in the form of hugs and smiles," said Theresa. "I appreciate that I work with so many generous people who care about their community."

Following their return to BCGL, Theresa and Emily shared their experience at LEEC over a Dr. Seuss themed office luncheon. The menu featured green eggs, Grinch dip, red fish, blue fish and many more festive dishes. It is always a pleasure for BCGL to play a role in serving the needs of the  Lancaster County Community.
